Yesterday marked the launch of our newest course: Understanding BFRBs in PMU . But what is a BFRB? Products

A BFRB is a Body-Focused Repetitive Behavior. This is a general term for any repetitive self-grooming behavior that can lead to physical damage to the body such as trichotillomania/hair pulling, trichophagia/hair eating, dermatillomania/skin picking, lip/cheek chewing, nail biting, and others. Zensa Topical Anesthetic – 30g Tube

BFRBs are not uncommon. 1 in every 20 people have a BFRB. This course will position you as a diverse artist with the ability to attract more clients through your understanding of BFRB disorders.

You’ll learn how to have a successful consultation with a BFRB client as well; proper language, vocabulary, and tone can make a client feel more comfortable with the service. This course is meant to give you valuable insight into BFRBs from a PMU artist who has personal experience with them! 

Jill Ullmer is a Permanent Makeup artist and BFRB/Trichotillomania advocate based out of Green Bay, WI. She is the owner and lead artist at her studio, 3D Brows and Wellness LLC, creator of the coaching and BFRB awareness hub www.jillullmer.com , and Founder and President of Hope & Olive Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit offering permanent makeup services to those who have experienced life-altering circumstances at no cost.  .breadcrumb__wrapper { display: none; }

Jill is known for her personal connection with her clients and audience. She has dealt with Trichotillomania since she was just 11 years old. Her mission is not only to help her clients through the gifts of permanent makeup, but also educate the beauty industry on how to better serve those with Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors.

Jill’s personal experience with BFRBs and her empathetic teaching style make her the perfect teacher for this course! We believe that every single PMU artist needs to take this course…these are our clients and we need to be educated in order to best serve them!
