Jenn Boyd Artist CollectionDiluting a pigment allows us to create different tones and effects with just one pigment. We can create areas that are more solid and with the same pigment create areas that are less solid with a powder finish.

When we dilute a pigment, it lessens the density or concentration of the pigment, producing a softer result…more sheer, less dense result.Hanafy Pigments

The more we dilute a pigment, the less dense, less cool and more powdery the procedure heals.

This technique should only be used with pigment lines that have a high pigment load. Both Li Pigments Aqua and Loaded have high pigment loads and perform remarkably well diluted down…even to the highest percentages.

Miscellaneous/Online Training

In my experience, brows performed with diluted pigments tend to last just as long as brows performed with full strength pigment.
